This is going to be a new series of posts – one per week.
What do you think is the Social media story of the week ? Post it in the comments section and, every Friday, the best stories will be chosen for the ’story of the week’ – weekend Poll.
Our choice for this week comes from mashable (and others)….
Twitter and Facebook Come to Xbox Live
November 12th, 2009 | by Barb Dybwad
“According to Major Nelson, the new Dashboard Update will be going live to everyone next Tuesday, November 17. The update also includes a new Zune video area that picks up where the Xbox Video Marketplace left off, adding the ability to stream a number of purchases instantly instead of having to wait for them to download….”
Social media by definition is a social platform and the introduction of a new (and in the case of xbox) massive user base to the party, is in our opinion, worth the ’social media article of the week’ mantle.
From Twitter to TV: Sh*t My Dad Says Gets CBS Deal
November 9th, 2009 | by Barb Dybwad
Another mashable story. This time about the owner of a twitter account @ShitMyDadSays getting a television deal on top of the book deal he already has.
For those people how don’t know, @ShitMyDadSays tweets the funny stuff his live-in 73-year-old dad says. Apparently Will & Grace creators, David Kohan and Max Mutchnick, will produce the show.
